Custom Review Forms is our new feature that makes your reviews more powerful and conversion-oriented.
What is it?
Now, in your Mail After Purchase (MAP) review request, you can ask your customers specific questions about the product or about the customer themselves in order to get a more detailed and focused review.
It is available on Yotpo’s Powerhouse and Enterprise plans.
How does it work?
You used to only be able to ask for star rating and text review in your MAP. But now you can ask more questions: customer questions about the reviewer and specific product questions about the product itself.
For example, if you’re selling make-up you might want to ask customer questions about things like age, eye color or skin tone:
If you’re selling speakers, you might want to ask specific product questions about product itself.
You can also ask questions about fit. Is the shoe too big, too small, or does it fit just right? You can find out more about this feature in the Fit Range post.
You can also ask both personal questions and product questions. Here’s an example for a doctor’s office:

How is it valuable?
Custom Review Forms immediately add value to your site. When you make reviews more relevant to prospects by asking specific questions, they’re much more likely to convert.
Customer questions allow prospective buyers to identify with past buyers who wrote positive reviews.
Product questions allow prospective buyers to learn how awesome specific features of a product are.
This can be particularly helpful for service businesses. Like in the doctor’s office example above, reviews can rate the quality of various aspects of the service, and they can also indicate which exact service the review is for. The more creative and focused you get, the more you can get out of it.
