A brand is born from leftover coffee grinds at a cafe
frank body was founded by Alex Boffa, Stephen Rowley, Jessica Hatzis, Erika Geraerts and Bree Johnson in 2013 in a café. Two ladies had come into the café and asked for leftover coffee grinds to use as a natural body scrub, and an idea was born. frank body’s cheeky, naughty voice was a large part of the brand from day one, and remains one of its most distinctive characteristics.
In the years since, frank body has sold a range of caffeinated products to over a million customers around the world; set up four global distribution points; amassed a digital database of over 1 million loyal, engaged consumers; and have over 800,000 followers on Instagram. To this day, the coffee scrubs remain their best-selling products.
