Nuun Triples Customer Lifetime Value with LiveArea and Yotpo
When Nuun launched over a decade ago, it was heavily focused on growing its retail distribution. However, with changing consumer behaviors in the food and beverage space exacerbated further by the COVID-19 pandemic, Nuun shifted its focus to online growth, customer engagement, and customer retention, and the brand turned to LiveArea to design a loyalty program that not only starts conversations with customers but fosters an emotional connection to their brand.
LiveArea leveraged Yotpo’s Loyalty and Referrals solutions to create Nuun+, a tiered, points-based program that rewards repeat purchases and encourages referrals from members. LiveArea analyzed customer data to deeply understand Nuun’s customer journey. The team designed the program to be community-centric by rewarding members with extra points for following the brand’s social channels, signing up for their email newsletter, or reading a blog post, further reinforcing an emotional connection to the brand.
Nuun is healthy hydration — their electrolyte-enhanced drink tab is gluten-free, dairy and soy-free, safe for clean sport, and plant-based.
