We are looking for a passionate and experienced Bookkeeper to join our Finance Team in Sofia, Bulgaria (hybrid). As part of the finance team, you will be part of our day-to-day accounting operations and monthly closing process. The finance team is responsible for all aspects, from ensuring that we are compliant with all tax regulations and business obligations through planning ahead and enabling the infrastructure needed to provide the company’s future growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility over bank reconciliation and related working paper for our entities in Australia
- Account payable process management for Australia (including recording invoices, creating new vendors and processing payments to vendors)
- Credit card reconciliation review
- Record and maintain financial transactions using accounting software.
- Performing monthly and quarterly closing tasks: Fixed Assets, Accruals and Prepaid expenses, etc.’
- Reviewing and approving reimbursement expense reports according to company policy
- Assist with tax filings and coordinate with external accountants or auditors as needed.
- Produce other various miscellaneous reports, duties, and special projects as needed
Who You Are:
- Fluent in English
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong advantage- proven experience in NetSuite
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel.
- Certification in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience in hi-teach global companies – an advantage
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
